Ski Report

As we come into the end of season, the ski area will gradually be closing. Please respect all signage and closures in place, as they exist for your safety.

The Pisaillas area will be open for skiing today, with all runs and lifts open to the public. The sector is accessed via the Col drag lift, accessible by Solaise using the Leissières chairlift.

The Fornet sector is now closed for the season, and access is forbidden to all skiers, as it is currently a construction site.

Over on Solaise, all lifts will be open, apart from the 3000 and the Laisinant. The Marmottons run is now closed for the season, and the Mattis slope will likely close throughout the day. On the snowfront the Legettaz lift is now closed, and the Rogoney is in operation between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

In the Bellevarde sector, the Funicular, Bellevarde Express, Loyes, and Lanches lifts have now closed for the season. The Joseray, Club des Sports, Moutons, Tines and snow park have now closed for the season. Skiing in Tignes can still be accessed via the Tommeuse or Borsat lifts.

Cross Country skiers can choose between the ski loops in the Manchet Valley and the Lac de l'Ouillette. Pedestrians can head out to any of our trails today, apart from the Branges, Joseray, and the Col d'Iseran. Both ski touring trails are now closed to the public.

The avalanche risk is 2/5 today. Always ski with a partner, have the appropriate gear and know how to use it, and if in doubt hire a guide.

Local News

On this last Monday of the month, elected officials will meet for a final time this morning for a Municipal Council meeting. Similar to three weeks ago, the agenda is substantial, with 19 discussion points, mainly concerning town planning and finances.
Elected officials will discuss in particular the consultation around the Central bus stop (la zone de coin), allowing them to confirm the tail end of this real estate project.
On the financial side, the 2023 town budget review will be voted on, and the surpluses will be integrated into the current budget.
Another important point, the vote on ski lift prices for this summer, and also next winter. There are several tiers of prices, for the different demographics, but the proposed price for a a day pass is 71€, compared to 66€ this winter. Numerous debates are expected, starting from 9 a.m. this morning.
A recap will be published in tomorrow morning's local news, and you can follow the meeting online on YouTube by following this link; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REcYiy9FRmc

Several ski lifts closed a day ahead of their initial schedule yesterday. It was announced yesterday morning that yesterday would be the last day of operation for the Laisinant chairlift, 3000 drag lift, Legettaz drag lift, and the Mont Blanc chairlift.
However these lifts did not operate yesterday, contrary to what was indicated on the Val d'Isère website.
