SKI REPORT

For the most up-to-date information please click here.
Here are the highlights of the ski report.

Most pistes are open and groomed
and only one lift closed all day,
though others may be affected
if the wind howls around them.
Snow fell on pistes that had already been groomed
but most of the easier pistes were groomed last
to make it a bit kinder for beginners

The lower slopes can be tricky when the snow has been warmed
so heavier and more chopped up as the day goes on.
Even a challenge for fit and competent skiers.
Never forget that we have big fast comfy lifts down
for when your legs are tired
.

ON BELLEVARDE

The Scara Under 14 International racers are on the OK and Orange today.

The the last wall of the black run, Epaule du Charvet is closed due to lack of snow,
but you can cut into the bottom of the Santons.
The top part of the Santons will probably close early due to the
risk of an avalanche filling this gulley.
Don’t be there if this happens.
NEVER ski or board on a closed piste.
Why do you think you know more than our experts ?

The Border cross is closed while poor visibility makes it unsafe.
The higher obstacles in the Snowpark
will be blocked if the wind is strong.
The G
and lower part of the Diebold are closed.
There is training on the Raye
The Brinzei touring track is open but the lower part is
pretty snow-free and it is likely to close completely today.

ON SOLAISE
The 3000 lift and piste and
The lower part of the Marmottons are closed all day.
The Leissiere chairlift, taking you to le Fornet and back
is currently closed but may open later today.
The upper part of the Marmottons, Cugnai, Fourche
And Ecurreil
touring track were not groomed.

LE FORNET

Everything is open except the Tunnel
Arollay and Table d'Orientation.

The Foret, Petit Bois and Signal were not groomed.

ON PISAILLAS

The Combe du Geant,
Les Champions and Aiguille Pers
are closed.
All other slopes are open and groomed.

NURSERY SLOPE

All open and groomed,
including the toboganning area.

The avalanche risk today is 2 out of 5.
Though more dangerous at the peaks of the Pisaillas
If you are heading off piste –
do you really  know what you are doing
and where you are going?
Do all your team have beep, probe and shovel,
know how to use them and have they practised recently ?
Minimise the risk - hire a mountain guide.

If you are going to Tignes, use either the Tommeuse or  Borsat chairlifts.

Our multi activity and cross country tracks
on the top of Solaise and in the Manchet Valley are open.
A lot of the walking tracks at village level can no longer be groomed
so are officially closed.
They are a mix of snow, deep in parts, and bare ground.
Worry of Wind will stop you getting the lift to the
Col de l’Iseran at the top of le Fornet,
but you can walk along the Pont St Charles.
