WEATHER

There was a good freeze last night, but another warm sunny day,
Hitting  0° at 3000 metres this afternoon.
Any wind blowing from the North East will be noticeable rather than strong.

At 9.50 the temperature is already.

  • +4° in the Village.
  • +1° on Solaise.
  • +3° on Bellevarde.
  • -2° on Pisaillas.

ROADS

We are not expecting any problems during the day but if you are travelling during the night, read carefully.
Work is starting on the Siaix Tunnel, on the road between Albertville and Bourg, near Aime.
Much needed and will improve the drainage, lighting, electrics, signals and entilation.
The tunnel will be closed, in both directions, tonight 22.00 – 05.00.
There will be a diversion via Notre Dame du Pré
but nothing over 3.5 tons or longer than 5 metres,
unless you are driving a rescue vehicle.
As always, when approaching roadworks
Slow down
Don’t run them over the work folk…..

SKI REPORT

For the most up-to-date information please click here.
Here are the highlights of the ski report.

Not a bad day to be skiing !
Sun, most pistes opened and groomed and only one lift closed.

Never forget that the snow higher up is always better at this time of year.
The lower slopes can be frozen hard in morning,
and melted into deep sticky slush in the afternoon.
Luckily we have fast comfy lifts to get you down
without stressing your knees, or losing your sense of humour.

ON BELLEVARDE
There is training on upper parts of the OK and Orange this morning.
The Brinzei touring track and
the lower parts of the Diebold, G, Epapule du Charvet are closed.
The Santons is also listed as closed - suspect this is because of the risk of avalanche.

ON SOLAISE
The 3000 lift and piste and
The Marmottons are closed all day.
The Ecurreil touring track is never groomed, and pretty “Technical” at the moment
so only for expert tourers.
The Arcelle may or may not open as the bottom is thin in width and snow.

LE FORNET
Everything is open except the Tunnel
The Foret,
Petit Bois
And Signal were not groomed.

ON PISAILLAS
Everything is open.
All the slopes were groomed.

NURSERY SLOPE
Everything is groomed, Including the tobogganing track.

The avalanche risk today is  2 out of 5.

If you are heading off piste – do all your companions
Know what they are doing,  and are slick with their beep, probe and shovel ?
Remember it may be the one with the knowledge that is injured or buried.
SUNSHINE can cause trouble !
You will need to follow it carefully if you are looking for perfect Spring skiing.
THINK Time, temperature and exposure of the slope.
Any doubts – ski with a mountain guide

If you are going to Tignes, use either the Tommeuse or  Borsat chairlifts.

Our multi activity and cross country tracks in the Manchet Valley were groomed.
Those on the top of Solaise are also open and in good condition.

For walkers,
the tracks at Pont St Charles and the Manchet are open
But why not take the lifts up and enjoy the breathtaking views
along the Col de L’iseran, France’s highest mountain pass ?
