Weather
Another beautiful sunny day is on the forecast, with a strong temperature inversion in place. Cloud cover will creep in across the afternoon, finishing the day with an overcast sky. A light wind can be expected across the mountains, gusting up to 40 km/hr in exposed areas.

As for temperatures,at 8 a.m. it is -5°C in the village, and +0.5°C at the top of Bellevarde, and -2°C up at Pisaillas. Today we are looking towards a maximum temperature of +4°C in the village.

Roads
The roads are clear and free of snow, however the sidewalks remain quite slippery and icy in some places.

Local News
A group of Master's students studying Geography and Mountain Planning at the Savoie-Mont-Blanc University are currently carrying out a development study alongside the town of Val d'Isère. The students aim to collect the opinions and suggestions of both residents and holidaymakers using an online questionnaire to be found on the Val d'Isere application and the Facebook of the Mairie, or by scanning the QR Code at the new bus station. This study focuses on the relocation of the bus station.

Vie Val d'Is offers a snowboard specific Avalanche Prevention night, starting at 7 p.m. in the Galise room of the Maison de Val. The conference is to inform the public about the risks of going off-piste, the equipment to have and the behaviors to adopt. This exchange will take place with mountain professionals, and will be held in french.

The 'Queer Givrée' collective is offering drinks and nibbles this evening in a friendly environment for this start of the season. The LGBTQIA+ association of Vie Val d'Is, created a year ago, aims to raise awareness of LGBT rights and a greater visibility of the Queer community.

Yesterday afternoon after school, the kindergarten children gave a concert with an assortment of traditional Christmas songs. The children were excited to go on stage under the proud and emotional eyes of their parents. The small concert ended with a song from the Olympic Games where the children clapped their hands to the rhythm of the music.

Free Public Transport

- The Red Shuttle will be circulating between La Daille and the Fornet every 10 minutes from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and then every 20 minutes until 2:30 a.m.
- A free shuttle runs between the Pont St Charles and the Fornet, every half hour, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- The Yellow shuttle, up to the Manchet Valley, leaves every 20 minutes between 8:30 a.m. and 11:20 p.m.
- The Blue shuttle going up to the Legattaz is every 15 minutes between 8:30 a.m and 11 p.m.
- The free shuttle between Tignes and Val d'Isère runs 6 times a day :
Departures from La Daille at 7:55 a.m. 8:35 a.m. 10:50 a.m. 4:25 p.m. 5:25 p.m. and 6:20 p.m.
