News:

Avalanches
Over the weekend two avalanches occurred, due to the storm.

The first one started late in the morning, on Solaise to the left of the Super S. Two skiers equipped with airbags and avalanche victim detectors managed to escape unharmed and get back on piste.

A little later at 1:20 pm, a second avalanche took place on an off-piste route of La Spatule, in the Daille sector. A father and his two teenagers, aged 12 and 17, fell 150 metres in an avalanche and ended up in trees. One of them was injured in the head and the other in the leg. The ski patrollers provided first aid internally and took them to the Médival medical practice. They could not be airlifted due to the storm. Even though the good weather is back today, the avalanche risk remains high: 4/5.

A new avalanche prevention program was carried out from 6:50 a.m. on the entire ski area, and another by helicopter from 8 a.m. During these operations, the ski area will be strictly closed. The Régie des Pistes reminds skiers to be careful, especially for off-piste enthusiasts. Good weather does not mean no risk.

Clément Noël

After his sprain during the Giant at the Critérium, Clément Noël was able to take the start of the Alta Badia slalom, in Italy, yesterday morning. No podium for the Avalin who finished 6th with + 1 second and 89 hundredths, against the Norwegian Timon Haugan who won easily during the second round in front of the Swiss Loïc Meillard and the Norwegian Atle Lie McGrath. Even though he didn't win, Clément Noël is still satisfied with his ranking.
