SKI REPORT
For the most up-to-date information please click here
Here are the highlights of the ski report.
Nearly everything is open and
Most pistes were groomed last night.
Only 1 lift and 2 pistes will be closed all day.
ON BELLEVARDE
The lower part of the Epaule du Charvet and the middle part of the Orange
were not groomed.
If you like jumping, go to the Snow Park.
It is not cool it and it is dangerous to jump on busy pistes.
The Snow Park has a great selection of obstacles to suit all levels.
The Village Perdu, or « Lost village », which you can access from the
Orange or the OK is never groomed
ON SOLAISE
The 3000 lift and piste are closed.
The S, Cugnai and Marmottons were not groomed.
For tourers
the Ecureuil track is never groomed.
LE FORNET
Everything is open except the Tunnel.
The Foret is never groomed
ON PISAILLAS
Everything is open.
NURSERY SLOPE
Everything is open, including the tobogganing area.
The avalanche risk today is 2 out of 5.
Low risk but not, no risk.
Some big slabs moved yesterday …
and it will be warmer today
so be very wary.
The mountain can be mean, even on a sunny day.
If tempted to ski off piste, look closely at your friends……
Do they all have a beep, probe and shovel,
know how to use them ?
Could they help you in an emergency ?
Listen to your doubts…
Stay on piste or book to ski with a mountain guide.
If you are going to Tignes
use the Tommeuse or Borsat chairlifts.
Mini Rule Reminder.
Please Ski in control, at all times, at all speeds.
Particularly as you approach junctions or
The nursery slope at the bottom of the Face.
There have been a lot of rescues
When people have looked ahead
Seen a flatish area, and didn’t want to risk walking
The bottom of the Santons is a prime example.
If you are not stable on a schuss, do a few extra turns.
A final push is better for your fitness than a
fast ride to hospital.
All of our walking, multi activity
And cross country tracks are open.
Would be a lovely day to take the lift up
To the top of Solaise or le Fornet.

Yesterday afternoon 5 of our elders had a fun time

And finally devoured delicious crepes.

Not quite sure what brain gym involves
but sure it is taxing !
