Local News

The resort's socio-professionals met up yesterday morning in Le Fornet. The meeting, held by Val d'Isère Tourism, discussed the importance of customer loyalty through ‘The Club’ as well as the major challenges faced at the end of the season. The Loyalty Club currently has 2,763 members.
The "Ski and Chill" event was also discussed, a period taking place from April 12th to May 4th, as well as a new package called "Dernières Traces", offered to customers from April 19th to May 4th. This package includes a ski pass and accommodation at 40% off, with an option of group lessons and ski rental with a discount of 40%. Val d'Isère Tourism would like to add other benefits yet to be confirmed, such as discounted menu options in restaurants. The objective of this push is to sell another 500 packages.
Several discussions have taken place with local socio-professionals such as the importance of communication, how much ski terrain will be open during this period. For some, the name of the package "Dernières Traces" is controversial and would not be very saleable with the negative connotation of the word ‘Last’.
