Weather:

Today is looking to be a little bit mixed, with overcast skies and light snow creeping in very shortly and hanging around for most of the day. We are expecting about 10 cm of snow throughout the course of today and tonight.
The wind will be light all day, and temperatures are set to reach a high of a relatively mild 5 degrees in town, so we might expereince a little bit of rain down here, and -5 at 2000m so it will feel a little brisk up there.
Temperatures at 09:00 were -4 degrees on Bellevarde, 2 degrees in Town, and -9 degrees on the Pisaillas glacier.
The road surfaces are mostly clear, but pavements can be slippery so do take care when moving around on foot.

Other than the cloudy skies a pretty good day if youre heading into the mountains today, with some fresh snow and almost everything is set to open.

In Le Fornet sector, everything is open today except the piste tunnel which remains closed.

On the Pissaillas Glacier, everything is open today without any restrictions.

Up in Solaise everything is open today except the 3000 drag lift which is still closed due to lack of snow, this includes the whole beginners area and the toboganning piste.

As for Bellevarde, everything is open, including both liaisons with Tignes—chairs Tommeuse and Borsat. I can confirm the piste Ok Orange is closed until about noon as the Club des Sports children are training on this piste.
There is also a risk that piste Santons may close later due to avalanche risk and
All walking and ski touring trails are also opening, so plenty of options for those looking to explore.

The avalanche risk is 2/5 today.
With the appearance of fresh powder, at last, you may be as excited as I am to head off piste for a little powder adventure. I must remind you that the avalanche risk is always to be taken seriously, If you are heading off piste make sure you have got all the kit, dont be an all the gear and no idea kind of person … make sure you know how to use it! This includes a transiever, shovel and probe. If you've got an experienced person or two handy take one of those too, or even better hire a guide if you are not sure what you are doing!
Also, light may be a little flat today, so dont forget your extra cool orange tinted lenses!
