The wind is expected to be very light, at altitude it will blow up to 10 kmh from the east this morning, shifting round to the north this afternoon.
Temperatures are set to reach a maximum of a reasonable 2 degrees in town, and a chilly -11 degrees on the peaks. The freezing point sits at a high 2100m today so the slush may continue.
Currently, temperatures are sitting at -2 degrees on Bellevarde, -7 on the Pisaillas glacier and -1 degrees in town.

This week, Val d'Isère and the Sports Club are hosting the Écureuils d'Or, where the national Super-G titles will be awarded. As a reminder, this unique and emotional competition provides an exceptional platform for promising French and international skiers and is a must-see event in the U16 French Championship circuit. This morning, the U16 Girls' French Championships will be held on the OK and Orange slopes, in the Daille sector. Ninety-two girls will start the race at 10:30 a.m. Training will take place tomorrow before a second race this Thursday for 112 boys.

Last week, some of the young people from the Val d'Isère Sports Club participated in various competitions in the region. In the women's FIS Elite competition in La Plagne, Valentine Belmonte finished tenth in the Super G. At the Grand Prix Intersport de Montchavin, Louna Lebas won the bronze medal, while Romane Denaud finished fifth in the U16 slalom. Olivia Angus also won the bronze medal in the first Super G race during the U12 Bronze Cup in Sainte-Foy-de-Tarentaise. In the men's competition, Ken Caillot finished tenth in the Super G during the European Cup Final in Kvitfjell, Norway. At the second stage of the Ecureuils d'Or in Val Cenis, Nolan Brusco took fifth place in the Super G event. At the Grand Prix Intersport slalom in Montchavin, Jules Servant finished third, followed by Léo Ysten. Paul Clément Marsala finished sixth, followed by Titouan Clair. Matéo Daubin finished in tenth place in the standings. In the U12 Bronze Cup in Sainte-Foy-de-Tarentaise, Côme Ferrando won the silver medal in the Super G, while Dougal Davison finished sixth, followed by Rosco Schniewind, Louis Pierre, and Louis Carceller Bocayuva. Finally, in the U14 Bronze Cup in Peisey-Vallandry, Jackson Schniewind finished ninth in the slalom event.

Tonight is the grand finale of the Avaline Trax! For the last time this season, the Sports Club will offer a race for ski touring enthusiasts to climb 480 meters of vertical drop at night through the Daille forest. Whether solo, in pairs, or in groups, this unique and friendly experience will begin at 6 p.m. on the snow front of the TC 10 in La Daille. Two races will be offered: a timed race, which requires a FFME or FFCAM license or a medical certificate, and an untimed race, which does not require a medical certificate. The awards ceremony and refreshments will take place during the descent to the Tontons Grilleurs. The resort's partners will be present to test the equipment and reward participants. Registration is mandatory and can be done online at valsport.org.
