Ski Report

As we come into the end of season, the ski area will gradually be closing. Please respect all signage and closures in place, as they exist for your safety.

The Pisaillas area will be open for skiing today, with all runs and lifts open to the public. The sector is accessed via the Col drag lift, accessible by Solaise using the Leissières chairlift.

The Fornet sector is now closed for the season, and access is forbidden to all skiers, as it is currently a construction site.

Over on Solaise, all lifts will be open, apart from the 3000 and the Laisinant. The Marmottons run is now closed for the season. Everything will be open on the snowfront today, apart from the Legettaz.

In the Bellevarde sector, the Bellevarde Express, Loyes, and Lanches lifts have now closed for the season. The Joseray, and snow park has closed for the season. Skiing in Tignes can be accessed via the Tommeuse or Borsat lifts.

Cross Country skiers can choose between the ski loops in the Manchet Valley and the Lac de l'Ouillette. Pedestrians can head out to any of our trails today, apart from the Branges, Joseray, and the Col d'Iseran. Both ski touring trails are now closed to the public.

The avalanche risk is 3/5 today. Always ski with a partner, have the appropriate gear and know how to use it, and if in doubt hire a guide.

Local News

Excellent first edition of Alpine Park in the Bellevarde sector. The cold and the wind didn't help to attract the crowds, and slightly modified the program, but overall a good show was had on this well thought out parallel slalom, visible in its entirety from the public viewing area. The commentators reminded us at the end of the race, that this is only a first edition and the event is set to get bigger and better in the years to come. Photo and video coverage can be found on our site.
The athletes will return again today at the Alpine Park, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., to give you all advice on the best line to take. Today will be more relaxed and fun, after yesterday's competition. The course is now set up for all levels, and everyone can try it out, without having to hit the numerous jumps at the top of the course.

Another end of season event took place yesterday, the ESF memorial. 60 red coats ran a slalom yesterday morning at the Legettaz stadium. Race won by Sacha Lekaene, just ahead of Antoine Bois and Stephane Mongellaz.
After the race, the instructors met in front of their office, on the Place des Dolomites, for their traditional end-of-season barbecue.

Today will be the last day of operations for several lifts across the ski area. From tomorrow onwards, an additional 7 lifts will be closed for the season. This includes the 3000 drag lift, the Laisinant, Rogoney, Legettaz, and Mont Blanc chairlifts, the slalom drag lift and above all, the Funival.
Also note that the Manchet chairlift will be open daily between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. As a result, a day pass for the Val d'Isère Tignes ski area is now €39, instead of €66.
