Santa had a busy day yesterday. Before distributing presents to all the wise and kind children across the globe, he spent the day in Val d’Isère meeting, greeting. Sharing humour, goodwill and … chocolate.
After starting the day on the nursery slopes he left his sleigh and took the bubble to the Val Kids area on the top of Solaise.
During the afternoon he meandered around the pistes Bellevarde.
Santa was accompanied by his Right Hand Elf who made sure Santa was always in the correct place, and collected the children’s wish lists.
Holidaymakers were delighted to meet these characters, posing for selfies and enjoying the chocolates.
A selection of these photos and videos can be seen on the Radio Val website.
In the Evening Santa Claus triumphantly drove down the Avenue Olympique in a carriage pulled by Raspberry, his elegant mare.
Hundreds of children followed until they all reached the Main square where Santa Claus took his rightful place on the Throne.
For more than an hour, he welcomed children while musical elves entertained the crowd.
Finally, Raspberry took Santa and his team on a triumphant tour of Val Village before heading off to complete their nights work,.
