It is snowing this morning, but looking awfully 'damp' in the village -hopefully better 'up top'.
It should clear up for a few hours, before snowing again this afternoon, and evening.
Wrap up well as it is due to get cold.
With a wind of up to 70 km/hour at the bottom of the valley and night snow down to 500 metres, so well below Bourg St Maurice.
20 or 30 centimetres of snow is promised at 2000 metres.
Fab !
At 9.50 the temperature is
- +3° in the Village.
- 0° on Solaise.
- -1° on Bellevarde.
- -4° on Pisaillas.
The maximum temperature at 2000 metres will be +3°
ROADS
The roads are currently clear but if you are driving,
don’t risk lives or your licence.
The regulations changed on 1St November
Until the end of March, if you drive anywhere in the Savoie you must have
- snow tyres
- chains or
- tyre socks.
4 X 4 is obviously wonderful, but you must still have the correct tyres.
Many all weather tyres are now not considered
safe enough without chains (or socks).
Check that your tyres are still legal
