Nearly 2000 people enjoyed the 2nd day of the Adventure and Discovery Film festival.
Tonight, the penultimate evening, 3 more films are competing.

followed by a bike ride to discover ancestral beliefs.

Ushuaïa TV's film « Iceberg » is being shown in our cinema at 15.00.

Sadly the weather has thwarted Maxence Cavalade's plan to beat the Speed Riding World record.

Monoskiers ….....Today is your World Championship !
Get to the Snow Park.
Races are 11.00 - 16.00.
This is very popular, particularly amongst English speaking seasonaires,
and gives you the perfect excuse to
don ski kit that was fashionable in the 80's.
And to party.
Holidaymakers, even the French, are very welcome.
Prizes are to be won, and the 'event' will continue in our bars this evening.

For the 30th in his career, Christian  has been out with his big machine,
blowing snow off the road to the Pont St Charles.
It was an interesting job : the snow barely covered the road in parts while other areas was up to 2 metres deep.
Although the car park is now also snow free, the road is only open  to pedestrians.
A shuttle bus will start in the next few days to bring off-piste skiers back to le Fornet.

The council are taking over clearing the road higher up
so that they can reach the bottom of the bubble lift by 6th May,
and the top of the bubble by the end of May
so that the work replacing this lift
can be finished in time for next winter.
Bet they are hoping it stops snowing soon !
