At 09.30 the sky is looking pretty blue,
though clouds are rapidly moving in.
There is a breeze in the village,
which will increase as the day goes on
and the wind is currently blowing at around 40 km/hour on our mountains.
It will snow again and this afternoon the rain-snow-limit
may be just above the village.
It is about the same temperature as yesterday, and at 09.30 :
- +3° in the Village.
- -3° on Solaise.
- -5° on Bellevarde.
- -10° on Pisaillas.
The maximum temperature at 2000 metres will be +5°
ROADS
No problems expected on the roads today.
SKI REPORT
You are in for another good day.
All lifts that are due to open, opened on time.
Nearly all of our pistes are beautifully groomed
and the resort is quiet !
Will share the few exceptions :
Due to the work replacing the bubbles,
Le Fornet is closed below the Col draglift.
You can still access the Pisaillas glacier :
From Solaise, take either the Leissieres chairlift
or the more challenging route of the 3000 draglift
followed by the bumpy, black Tunnel run before it closes tomorrow.
The only way home is on the same « Up and Over » chairlift.
Please do not even think of skiing down to le Fornet -
There are busy drivers with huge machines.
It is not fair on them, if you recklessly cross the barriers.

Tignes can be accessed via either the Tommeuses or the Borsat chairlifts.
The avalanche risk today is between 2 and 3 out of 5 –
higher risk the higher up you are on the mountain.
Always think carefully before heading off piste :
there still slabs and the risk of small avalanches.
How well are your ski pals equipped ?
And, can they use their kit ?

LOCAL NEWS
Saturday again !
We are heading into the final week of our long season.
This week will be the most peaceful with an occupancy rate of only 20%.
Less than half of the last 7 days
and significantly less than this time last winter.
Today 32 of the World's best skiers will be showcasing their skills
in the Alpine Park on Bellevarde.
They will compete in a « parallel slalom with a difference »
Traditional meets slopestyle on an innovative course
that has taken our talented and experienced team 15 days to create.
You will find it on skiers right of the piste « verte »
which you can only access on skis or snowboard,
however everything will be visible from both the bottom of the slopes at La Daille
and broadcast on a giant screen.
Also today is The ESF, the French Ski School, memorial.
This morning in the Legettaz stadium, 70 instructors will
compete in a slalom
followed by a big barbeque
in front of their ski school office on the Place des Dolomites.
Today is Race Day in the Red Bull Alpine Park !
Local Olympic hero, Clément Noël, has reinvented slalom
combing paralell slalom with slopestyle and World Class Skiers
to produce a spectacular competition.
This weekends festivities include fun challenges,
a lively fan zone and concerts.
All for free!
From 10.30 - 14.00 either ski or board to the Alpine Park
(skiers right of the verte piste) or watch from the bottom of la Daille
where there will also be a giant screen.
Tonight is the final closing party for the Poya Restaurant and Bar
The DJs will start the groovy, funky, deep house, electro music at 17.30.
You will find the Poya on the main road,
just opposite the bus station.
The Savoyarde Hotel is celebrating the end of season with a
Spring buffet and live music until they close at midnight.

Bananas is also planning its end of season celebrations.
Come to their Après Ski everyday from Monday.
Tuesday 30th : an 80's and 90's themed evening
Friday 3rd May : “The LAST but not the LEAST” Closing party.
40 years of Bananas means 40 years of music,
so expect hits from the 80's to the present day.

The red shuttle bus (‘le train rouge’) runs between La Daille and Le Fornet, via the roundabout adjacent to the nursery slopes (‘Rond-point des pistes’) every 6 minutes from 07.00 to 20.00 and then every 20 minutes until 02.00.
The blue shuttle bus (‘le train bleu’) travels between the Rond-point des pistes and Legettaz every 15 minutes from 08.30 to 23.20.
The yellow shuttle bus (‘le train jaune’) takes you to the Manchet valley via the main street and the rue de la Balme every 20 minutes from 08.30 to 23.20.
There is a new shuttle bus, between Le Fornet to Pont St Charles every 30 minutes from 10.00 - 15.00.
The shuttle bus between Val d’Isère and Tignes does 6 round trips a day.
- Leaving La Daille at 07.55, 08.35 and 10.50 in the morning and 16.25, 17.25 and 18.20 pm in the afternoon
- Leaving Tignes 1800 at 8.05, 8.45 and 11.00, in the morning and 16.35, 17.35 and 18.30 in the afternoon
